For some reason, nobody seems to have posted about this here!!! (Or my seeking skills are nil.) So I feel the need for speed. And the need to semi-cross-post from my Lebenstagebuch.
From John Finnemore's blog:
Q) Where can I listen to / download / buy / read Cabin Pressure?
A) In a variety of ways. You can buy the newly released CDs of the first three series from Amazon. You can buy downloads from Amazon or Pozzitive's online store. Someone has put all the episodes up on YouTube. And someone else, or a collection of someone elses, have put up transcripts of all the episodes, which you can easily find by googling 'Cabin Pressure transcripts'. I only get money from the first two of these, but personally speaking, I have no problem with the last two ways. (The BBC probably don't agree about that.)
That line. Right there. "I get no money; I have no problem."
That line alone makes me want to pay SHITLOADS of money for the CDs wot I have been listening to FOR FREE since February.
For those of you who don't know John Finnemore: he is the genius wot created the radio programme Cabin Pressure. And the transcripts he mentions? Um, they'd all be on LJ...
He also talks about:
• fanfic!!! John Finnemore, I love you! You are sensible! You are generous! You are unruffled!
• where Fitton is (so WHERE IS Fitton???? I have a hunch but not the 'within 20 miles' that he mentions...)
• Douglas not being mean to Martin, and Martin not living in abject poverty (yay! fanon myths debunked, and as these are myths I never subscribed to, I say yay!)
• Series number 4!!!

Well, some fic suggests that Martin weeps almost non-stop because of the grim misery of his life.
There's one line of Martin's that occurs in two different episodes. Was that deliberate?
What line is he talking about?
THANK YOU! (I have listened to these episodes at least 30 times each... how could I not get this?) Hah.
The repetition stuck in my mind, so it's great to finally know why it turns up twice! It's such a wonderful line for Martin, too, and I can easily see why JF would want to use it if he thought it had been cut out of the previous episode he'd written it in.
