Travelling Lemon: Week Three Update

Thank you to everyone who has taken part thus far; thanks to your hard work our world map currently looks like this (though as several places have various pictures taken in them by different people, this is only an estimation of the scale of the project):

Because this thing is now far bigger than I’d anticipated when the deadline was set, the closing date for entries has now been altered. Lemons must now be submitted by Monday 4th June.

We also know now that to have this book produced professionally will cost somewhere in the region of £160. We currently have £80 so donations are very much appreciated.

For those who want to get involved in the Lemons and Landmarks project and have any questions other than queries about the deadline, an FAQ can be found here.

Anyone wishing to donate can find out how here, artists and those wishing to send messages to Mr Finnemore without lemony pictures can go here and for people wishing to design covers, this is the post for you.

Good lord. That's become a hell of a project, hasn't it?

It just shows how huge a fandom a relatively small radio show actually has :)

I feel proud to be a part of it ;) x

Love the map! Very impressive. I only wish I lived in Greenland or Madagascar so we could claim cover more of the world with our lemony goodness *g*

You'd think the project was actually called Confuse-a-Tourist, given the popular reaction to seeing a lemon propped on statues and whatnot. That would make a lovely follow-up project BTW *hint hint*

Ooh, interesting - if there are two or more people on one lemony sojourn, one could take the photo of the lemon, and one could photograph the reaction of passers-by!

If you extend the deadline by a few days, I can send in pictures from Karachi, Pakistan! That part of the world is looking very lonely and unloved on the map!

The deadline is more of a guideline- if you can't make it by that date, send us a message at the e-mail address above with an estimation of when you might be able to send one in and we'll save a space in that letter for you :-D

I am constantly amazed by this project. Look at the international reach of a small BBC radio show.

I sent some pics from Aberdeen on the 7th and was wondering if you had got them. If not I will send them again. The only reason I am asking is I have had no notification. I know that you have had a lot of lemony pics coming you way so I would understand if you hadn't got to mine yet!

This is an amazing! As Arthur would say BRILLIANT!
